I have been trying for some time to figure out the relationship between your ancestor Edward and my ancestor John Dale. I suspect that Edward was a nephew or cousin to my John Dale. I have been researching Dales in County Derry from whence ours came. Charles Dale in Shawville who is also decended from Edward had his DNA done and it shows a close relationship but too far back for Edward to have been John's son. Also Edward was a little too old having been born when John was around 20. Marriages for men 25 in Ireland at that time were very rare. It would be great to get some more DNA results for the Edward Dale line. The bottom line is that I know that we are related but am unsure how. Ironically I do know my relationship to Catherine Stuart. We are third cousins with our common ancestors being Thomas Lett and Eliza Martin.
