Grace was the daughter of Robert (or Thomas) & Mary (Thompson) Gibson. She was born on 7 Oct 1760 in Cloughton, Yorkshire, England and she died on 9 Jul 1844 in Sherburn, Yorkshire, England. Lawrence was the son of Laurence and Hannah (Kettlewood) Dale. He was born on 29 Mar 1766 in Settrington, East Riding, Yorkshire, England [1] and he died aft, 1841 in Sherburn, Yorkshire, England. It has been quite awhile since you posted this msg. and quite some time that I researched the Dales (as I have some ancestry in common with you as a descendant of Thomas Dale who was, as you know, brother to Hannah). Found some of these facts at Rootsweb World Connect; other facts at FreeREG; and sort of cobbled the info together bit by bit. Can say that the most informative resource available was, The register of the parish of Settrington, 1559-1812 (1910)," which you may find on-line at "Internet Archive" and (probably) GoogleBooks. [1] You wiil find the birth/bapt. record of Hannah's father, Lawrence, on p. 194. [2] You will find the marriage record if Hannah's grand-parents on p. 180. Much more to be disvovered there about the Monkman, Dales, and Kettlewood famiies going back many, many generations.
