Yes, 1st cousin. No DNA connection to Sarah Keye, only Niccolas Dale. We know Niccolas left England from Bristol, in southwest Eng. at age 20. Since there seems to be no confirmed parentage, et al., for him I've been looking at locational and social factors. My gggrandfather Timothy Redding Dale and his older brother Weakley were both old church Baptists and when they immigrated to Missouri from Kentucky they founded a church, school and cemetery, of course with others. Also the Dale-Shirleys two generations earlier were Baptists. England was in ferment in the early 1600s, including primogeniture law. Nicholas doesn't seem to have any notable connections, but as a 2nd or 3rd son the colonies could have been attractive. And He is the ONLY Dale in VA at the 1624 Muster.
