    1. Re: [DALE] Need Parents of John Dale From Fauquier and Prince William Counties in VA
    2. Oh my. Thanks Mark. I sure hope you can find that newsletter. All I have to find him in Va was the copy I have of his Rev War pension answering those questions on where he came from. I did find one more reference that might mean something from his Rev War records. I see in John Dale's Rev War records that he once served about one month as a substitute for one Michael Myers. I found this marriage record in Fauquier Co Va but I don't know if it means anything or not for identification for my John Dale. Michael Myers married Margaret Thornberry 2 April 1774 . I very much remember John Dale being mentioned as the person posting was a direct descendant. How far down the Dale name goes I do not remember. I will try to see if I can put my hand on that article on John. William and Anne Dale had the following children, as I recall: Robert, George, James, Ann, Jane, Frances. There were others, I just do not remember them. It is not unusual to be from both counties as Fauquier was created out of Prince William and are next to each other. I have done DNA testing on some f my other lines and mtDNA on myself at FTDNA. Your William Dale is in the right age bracket as my John Dale was born in 1763. t is too bad I only know about him in Va through what I posted on his Rev War ecord. His being in both Fauquier and Prince William counties seem confusing ut he was in several skirmishes in the war but entered from Fauquier. Do you know the children of your William Dale and Anne Young or William Dale's iblings. ?? He was born 1737 or hereabouts. He married Anne Young from Prince William County. Some of the Dales came from Richmond County Va, as I recall. Do you have a male Dale who can take the DNA test? That might help.
