Thanks Mark, John Dale had a son Daniel but I don't know anything about him. I descend from Lucinda Dale that married Thomas Lewis and she is the daughter of John Dale and his wife Frances Daniel. . Lucinda and Daniel Dale are brother and sister. The Daniel's were in Middlesex Co., Va and my line moved on to Clark Co., Ky. Thanks a lot for looking. :) Marianne Dillow ----- Original Message ----- From: rootsmark@aol.com To: dale@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, April 10, 2012 5:39:38 PM Subject: Re: [DALE] Fwd: Need Parents of John Dale From Fauquier and Prince William Counties in VA Marianne I pulled my issue of "searching for the hidden dale" volume IV. There is an article about John Dale in there. The article says it was compiled from sources of the following people: Ellen Sandlin, Sarah Younger(of Columbus Ms) and Brenda Hester of 9001 Hwy 1078 South, Henderson, KY (502)826-1811. Of course these are names from 20 years ago, so do not know if they are even still alive. The articles states that the only male Dales to come from John desecen from Daniel Dale born 1793 died June 1855 St. Clair, Missouri. Hope this helps Mark Lazarre -----Original Message----- From: marlowest155 <marlowest155@frontier.com> To: DALE <DALE@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thu, Apr 5, 2012 3:36 pm Subject: [DALE] Fwd: Need Parents of John Dale From Fauquier and Prince William Counties in VA ark, I just happened to think. I have corresponded with a male cousin that descends rom John Dale also. Maybe it was he that made the posting. I offered him a few years ago to pay for his yDNA testing for the Dale Project t FTDNA but he never took me up on my offer. He is the only one that I ever new that was a prospect for testing on our line. Thanks Mark. I sure hope you can find that newsletter. All I have to find im in Va was the copy I have of his Rev War pension answering those questions n where he came from. I did find one more reference that might mean something from his Rev War ecords. I see in John Dale's Rev War records that he once served about one month as a ubstitute for one Michael Myers. I found this marriage record in Fauquier Co Va but I don't know if it means nything or not for identification for my John Dale. Michael Myers married Margaret Thornberry 2 April 1774 . I very much remember John Dale being mentioned as the person posting was a irect descendant. How far down the Dale name goes I do not remember. I will try o see if I can put my hand on that article on John. William and Anne Dale had the following children, as I recall: Robert, George, ames, Ann, Jane, Frances. There were others, I just do not remember them. It is not unusual to be from both counties as Fauquier was created out of Prince illiam and are next to each other. I have done DNA testing on some my other lines and mtDNA on myself at FTDNA. our William Dale is in the right age bracket as my John Dale was born in 1763. is too bad I only know about him in Va through what I posted on his Rev War cord. His being in both Fauquier and Prince William counties seem confusing t he was in several skirmishes in the war but entered from Fauquier. o you know the children of your William Dale and Anne Young or William Dale's blings. ?? arianne Dillow ---- Original Message ----- om: rootsmark@aol.com : dale@rootsweb.com nt: Wednesday, April 4, 2012 5:42:14 PM bject: Re: [DALE] Need Parents of John Dale From Fauquier and Prince William unties in VA y ancestor, William Dale was from those counties.
