According to my research, Samuel Dale was born in Levernson, England (near Manchester) on March 22, 1801 and died in Rush Township, Pennsylvania on February 21, 1873; that he was married to Hannah Dale (same last name, reportedly a cousin) in 1822 possibly in Philadelphia; that she was born on January 8, 1801 in Manchester, England on January 8, 1801 to Joseph M. Dale and Mary Ryder. I show that Samuel Dale was born to John Dale and Alice France; John Dale was born in 1758 in Lancashire, England and Alice France was born in Heaton, Lancashire on May 29, 1766. My records show that Samuel and Hannah Dale had five children, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Fred, Martha, and Alice. Mary Ann Dale was my great grandmother and was married to my great grandfather David H. Parker. Their son, my grandfather was Samuel Blair Parker and his son was Arthur F. Parker, my father. David Parker's father was Moses Parker but I have not been able to find out any further information regarding him except he reportedly immigrated from Northern Ireland in the early 1800s aboard the sailing ship Westpoint. I have more information regarding these ancestors but would appreciate any further information that anyone else has. I would very much like to know how you are related to Mary Ann (Dale) Parker and also interesting in more about the bed your mother sleeps in. So that would make Milton and Mary Dale my gggrandparents and your ggggrandparents. I also spent a part of my summers in Pine and Bardley, Missouri and loved every minute. I am hoping to obtain pictures of all of Milton and Mary Dale's children to add to my collection. Any chance you would know if pictures exist of George and Maggie? I beleive Charles Raymond Dale, Thomas' brother, migrated to Australia - he married a lade Shirly Olive (surname unknown) and they lived in Sydney for a while then Sanctuary Point and also had three children. I'm trying to track them down in Australia now - I think their son Glen Arthur Raymond Dale lives in Nowra. I'm showing your g-grandfather as Hiram B. Dale, Apr 1845 (1900 Census)-6 Mar 1925 (Kentucky Death Records), so I could be wrong on his birth year since other census records show the birth closer to what you have. I've also found Hiram's (b. 1809) wife has been shown as both Elizabeth "Betsy" Dean (b. 1818) and Elizabeth Dotson (b. 1818) . Can you shed any light on this? So far, the best info I can find on Patsey (b. 5 Aug 1856) was from Beaulah Dale Bradley in Russell County. She said that Patsey was the daughter of Margaret (b. 1837 to Hiram and Elizabeth). Patsey was the mother of my Grandfather, Jacob (b. 1875). She married John Steffey in 1884, but had already given away my grandfather to Samuel and Hannah Scott. Before my grandfather died, he told my father that his biological father was Jacob Gent, the Clerk of the Court in Russell County. Like you, I have found the Dale's to be very confusing and I will be glad to share anything I have with you. Good hunting! Both Robert and Mary Anne (or Maryanne) were, I believe, children of another Robert Hamilton (c.1822 - 15 Feb 1885).
