Would like to share that with you as well as exchange information and records on the Eddy line. My husband has told me there has been a disconnect within the family but doesn't know the why. He would very much like to reconnect with his cousins, though. I just got him to take a genealogy DNA test and am anxiously awaiting his results. A long time ago I got started in digging into my husbands family history and was amazed about the information I found. Also we own the Eddy family bible that was passed down through the family. I will have to do some digging and find my papers but would be interested in sharing what I can right off hand. I also use to have a pay account on here so you may be able to pull the information off of here. Look forward to talking to you! I'm waiting for one of the possible male Wainwright descendants to complete a DNA test to prove (or disprove) this. Another clue is that the Dale name comes from a village of the same name in Norway although I doubt we'll ever be able to prove that connection. If you haven't done so already, please login to FTDNA and add your Y-DNA to the Dale surname project. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. My ancestors came from Ayrshire Scotland to County Derry in Ireland to Canada. A few other Dales from Canada, England and New Zealand who also trace their ancestry back to Derry and to Antrim tested and we were shown to have a likely common ancestor 6 to 8 generations back. We also matched with an American Dale whose ancestry traces back through South Carolina, to Maryland, to Derry and to Antrim. There is no match to the many English Dales who have had their Y-DNA testing done. Do you know where your ancestors came from? England, Ireland or Scotland? Scandinavia? Germany? Holland? I had my son tested. As you all know, more results that way. I was amazed when the results came back as some from New Zealand. Had no clue. I am having a hard time tracing my Dale's. My paternal Grandfather was Jeptha Dale, born 1854 in Shelbyville, Kentucky. His first wife was Mary Frillingsdorff. (Kate) His second wife was my Grandmother Modesta Berkeley. His mother and father were William Dale and Margaret Underwood. He also had a brother. Do not know his name. I am really intrigued with the New Zealand idea. Any help would be appreciated.
