I'm just starting out trying to figure out which village my great grandparents came from and perhaps your trip and research can help me. too. This is what I have. Franz BOCHNESCHEK (Frank BOCHNICEK) Radkowitz (Radkovice) DOB abt 11 Sep 1834 Barbara BOCHNESCHEK (BOCHNICEK) Radkowitz (Radkovice) DOB abt May 1839 Maria BOCHNESCHEK (BOCHNICEK) Radkowitz (Radkovice) DOB abt Mar 1867 I know there were 3 Radkowitz villages in Bohemia, then and at looking at the Ship's Arrival Manifest 27 May 1867, Baltimore, MD, I noted all persons traveling from Bohemia to St. Louis, Missouri, came from the same general area of Zinkau (Zinkovy), Radochow (Radochovy), Merenitz (Mirenice), and all seem to be in the District of Prestice and Klatovy (Mirenice). This leaves me with 2 Radkowitz (Radkovice) villages. with parishes of Horsice and Mecin. I personally can't go any further into my Bohemian research until I know the Parnish/Village. (right???)
