    1. [CZ] Questions re: 1860's departure and destination of ships
    2. We understand that our great-grandparents (Mathias and Anna Houfek) left Bohemia in 1869, for $50, departing from Bremen, Germany to Liverpool, England, then across the Atlantic, down the St. Lawrence Seaway to the Great Lakes, finally arriving in Chicago and settling in Wisconsin. I have been looking at LDS microfilms of passenger lists at my local LDS Family History Center. Does anyone know: Would their names more likely be in the Liverpool or in the Bremen ship registers? Would they be more likely to have arrived in Baltimore or in New York, if they were heading down the Seaway to Chicago? Thanks, Susanne Houfek Oakland, Ca.
