    1. [CZ] Re: How To Find Passengers

    3. I'm a volunteer with LDS FHC and this is what I was told by our director the other day. --- They will be keeping information on microfilm because film lasts longer than CD, DVD or other media. Plans are to most of the microfilms online for viewing, so ordering films will not be necessary. This will be done in the near future and in steps. As to the "number" of copies of microfilm. I was told it is based on the popularity and number of requests for the film. If you are experiencing an exceptionally long period waiting to receive your film, have the FHC you ordered from, trace your order. If your order is still "pending", ask the FHC staff to request Salt Lake to make "new" copy of the film. This is often done with "damaged" film, lost film, and not enough copies of the film. Salt Lake will determine if making additional copies of the film is necessary or finding another copy from another HFC to fill the order. I was able to receive film copy of the Ship Manifest from the FHC within the normal waiting period, in my case - 3 weeks. My great grand parents had come from SW Bohemia (Radkowitz - Kadkovice) in May 1867 from Brehem to Baltimore on the Bark Capella.
