I had no trouble ordering Baltimore passenger lists from my local Family History Center. I recently ordered Film # 417414 (5/15/1880 thru 12/22/1880) and #417420 (9/8/1883 thru 5/31/1884) and they arrived in about 2 weeks. I would double-check your numbers against the actual numbers they ordered. Maybe they made a mistake. Joanne
Perhaps this might offend some, but why not just purchase the film and donate it to your local FHC? I have done this on a number of occasions and that way others can benefit from your contribution. After all, the FHC resource is available for free and the volunteers working there enjoy having more to offer the local patrons. Just a suggestion because it might cut down some of the delays listers are concerned about. Ron Mlejnek.

Ron, I did not know you could purchase the film from the FHC -- at least my local FHC says I cannot. What I have done is to renew the film two more times so that they will stay on an "indefinite" basis for anyone to use. I currently have 7 rolls from Ryglice, Poland, and some surrounding towns. I also have some other information (not Church records) for my uncle's birthplace in Yugoslavia!!! In addition, I have purchased the fiche for the IL birth and death indexes -- cannot remember exactly how many I have but 153 or thereabouts comes to mind. I have not looked at these indexes in quite a while. Lorraine
The film that I ordered on March 20, 2001 from the LDS in Appleton, WI, was #1373862, Baltimore Passenger Lists 1897-1952 NARA T520-38 (T-632 to V-500). Thge latest word is that it will not be available until 2006. I have tried ordering directly from NARA but they do not lend out films to individuals. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joanne Brown" <jb@tbcnet.com> To: <CZECH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, April 04, 2004 10:01 AM Subject: [CZ] LDS films--for Lorraine > I had no trouble ordering Baltimore passenger lists from my local Family > History Center. Have you tried renting films through your local library? My small library in southeast Virginia (population about the same as yours) has a two inch binder of catalogs where microfilm including NARA can be rented.
