Frances: I also have SKALA family members, as follows: Joseph SKALA (b ca 1875 in Bohemia) married Ruzena "Rose" Sustr/Schuster (1882 Melnik - 1963 Illinois) and their children Helen & Ernest SKALA. Does this match your family? Hi No, I don't think so. Sorry My great grandmother Barbora Skala parents were Jan Sskala and Marie Hajkove both from Belcice. She was born in 1848 and her siblings as listed on her obit were Kar brother and Ruzena and Antonia sisters.
