    1. Re: [CZ] Kiesewetter, et al / Kemzendorf
    2. Have you considered alternate spellings of Kemzendorf? Perhaps it is a matter of poorly understood handwriting. The "K" might also be an "H", the "em" could also be "ein", "ern", "um", "uin" or "urn". Try these - they seem the most likely: Kunzendorf (located in the ‘Kuhländchen‘, a charming region on the upper Oder River in Northern Moravia), Heinzendorf (in the east of Moravia, Czech Republic). Also see the links below for further information. Be careful - the first Kunzendorf link that comes up on Google search is rather unsavory (ADULT!) and was NOT included below.... ====================================================== The hereditary judge estate in Kunzendorf http://www.teltschik.de/en/judge_estate.html ======================================================Kunzendorf - Definition, Bedeutung, Erklärung im Lexikon http://www.net-lexikon.de/Kunzendorf.html (Translation below from http://www.freetranslation.com/) Kunzendorf definition, meaning, explanation in the lexicon The expression Kunzendorf is the name of several cities: a city in Poland, at the river Biele, formerly circle Habelschwerdt, Polish Trzebieszowice, see Kunzendorf at the Biele a city in Poland, formerly circle Glatz, Polish Drogos³aw, ========================================================== Hyncice (<A HREF="http://www.fact-index.com/g/ge/german_language.html">German</A>: Heinzendorf) is a little village near Novy Jicin in the east of <A HREF="http://www.fact-index.com/m/mo/moravia.html">Moravia</A>, <A HREF="http://www.fact-index.com/c/cz/czech_republic.html">Czech Republic</A>, best known for being the birthplace of <A HREF="http://www.fact-index.com/g/gr/gregor_mendel.html">Gregor Mendel</A>. http://www.fact-index.com/h/hy/hyncice.html ========================================================== <A HREF="http://websearch.cs.com/wm/boomframe.jsp?query=Heinzendorf&page=1&offset=0&result_url=redir%3Fsrc%3Dwebsearch%26requestId%3D6ec132a0c60875a7%26clickedItemRank%3D5%26userQuery%3DHeinzendorf%26clickedItemURN%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.wintersonnenwende.com%252Fscriptorium%252Fenglish%252Farchives%252Fwhitebook%252Fdesg50.html%26invocationType%3D-%26fromPage%3DWMTSuggestion%26amp%3BampTest%3D1&remove_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wintersonnenwende.com%2Fscriptorium%2Fenglish%2Farchives%2Fwhitebook%2Fdesg50.html">Groß-Hermersdorf to Heinzendorf: Documents on the Expulsion of the Sudetan Germans, Survivors Speak Out</A> http://www.wintersonnenwende.com/scriptorium/english/archives/whitebook/desg50 .html for a historical perspective of Heinzendorf see last document on this page.... =========================================================== Hope this helps!
