Surnames: HEGER, BUDIG, STEINER, LANGER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/sqB.2ACIAE/24.1 Message Board Post: I can't help you with Joseph LANGER but my grandmother, Emma HEGER, who was born in Porstendorf, Moravia, Austria (now Borsov, Czech Republic) had an aunt by the name of Anna LANGER. My grandmother came to America around 1900, stayed a few years and then returned to Austria. When she came back, Anna LANGER came with her. Most of my grandmother's family that came to America settled in the Union Hill area of New Jersey. Other surnames from the same area related to me are STEINER and BUDIG. I do not know (nor do any family members I've talked to) how Anna fits into the HEGER or BUDIG family. My great-grandparents were Ferdinand HEGER and Marie BUDIG.
