Someone asked me about a scanner that recognizes foreign languages. I apologize for not being prompt in my answer. For information only, I have an Epson Perfection 1240 U scanner that came with a TWAIN interface and bundled OCR software. I have scanned Czech pages with very high accuracy as long as it was clear print. If the print quality is poor and there is a lot of fancy type, I do not think anything is very good at character recognition.
