Carl, If you haven't received any answers, perhaps your subject is too restrictive. While not in the North Moravian area, through the use of archive land records, Jaroslav Fiala got my family line (southwest of Prague) back a couple more generations to about 1612. So, for the general question, land records can be quite useful. Can't say a thing about your specific concern of North Moravia.
