Kutna Hora is located east of Prague. You can take the interstate road #12 to Kolin and branch off there to go to Kutna Hora; or, you can take a secondary road #333 directly to the town. This is a little slower due to passing through many small villages. Kutna Hora is an old silver mining town and now is mostly noted for the location of the famous St. Barbara Cathedral dating from the 14th century and the Church of Bones in Sedlec just east of Kutna Hora. The bones of 40,000 people were resurrected there from their graves by a monk around 1500 who wanted the space to build a chapel. If you go to google and type in Bone Church, Bohemia, you will get the full story and pictures. ITs an interesting area and there is a fairly decent hotel right in the heart of the city center that looks out on the square. There are several other old churches there, too.
