    3. Hi Millie, There is a great article by Karel Kysilka that goes into detail about requirements for Bohemian emigration. It indicates the process and legal channels necessary, including where persons had to make application. He also states that many left illegally due to the requirements and/or lack of knowledge of the process. It can be found at http://www.fortunecity.com/victorian/durer/23/emigration/emigration.htm Sandy ----- Original Message ----- From: Mrbkdb112@cs.com Sent: Monday, March 29, 2004 1:54 PM To: CZECH-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [CZ] Passenger Lists Woody, that tells me I have a lot more avenues to sesrch. They could have landed anywhere. I don't even know if they started from Bremen, but I think that might have been the closest from Pilsen. They might have gone from Hamburg. Well, I'll keep trying. My search for my Mother's parents was so easy as they came in 1893 and I found them listed on the Ellis Island web site right away. I just needed to convert Joe to Josef (not Joseph) and Frank to Frantisek. If anyone knows about applications to emigrate in Bohemia, let me know.
