He did become a citizen, married in New York and then moved to Michigan and then Ohio. He was my husbands father. He did have a social security number. I have been to Ellis Island web site many times and cannot find anything close. I know he worked on Long Island, NY when he first got here. Supposedly no other family came with him but a Wm Kepus signed the marriage certificate. He stated his father was Joseph from Hungary. Everywhere I look I cannot find this name. I found 2 people in the Slovak phone book with the name Kepus and I am going to try and write to them.
