Hello to Minnesota researchers! There was a Brosch/Broz family in St. Louis, Missouri, in the mid 1800's that moved for a few years to Minnesota and I'm trying to find out any trails of info they left in Minnesota. A marriage record in 1901 in St. Louis lists an Arnold Zimmerli from Dallas, TX, married to Agnes Broz, daughter of Joannes Broz and Maria Kozlik from New Prague, Minnesota. From 1900 census and church records in St. Louis, the following info was found: Joannis Brosch - father - b. June 1826 Bohemia (son of Wenceslaus Brosch and Rosarice? Kral) mg. 21 May 1856 at St. John Nepomuk Church in St. Louis d. 18 Dec 1904 St. Louis Maria Kozlik - mother - b. Feb 1834 Bohemia d. 22 May 1917 St. Louis Children: 1) Maria b. 23 Feb 1857 St. Louis mg. Joseph Nemetz/Nemec about 1879 d. 18 Feb 1938 St. Louis 2) Josepha/Josephine b. 12 Feb 1859 St. Louis 3) Adelaide (Sophia) b. 14 Dec 1862 St. Louis 4) Rosa b. about 1867 Minnesota 5) Eva b. about 1869 Minnesota 6) Agnes b. about 1871 Minnesota 7) Justina b. about 1876 Missouri Joseph Nemetz and Maria Broz had a child, John Joseph, who was married to Mary Carolina Komrska (known as May) in the early 1900's. May died in 1918 at the young age of 30, leaving a 7 year old son. Any information on this Brosch family would be appreciated. May's brother, my grandfather, married the daughter of Stephen Malecek and Barbara Broz/Brosch. I've got some ancestral history of Barbara Brosch from Dolni Lukavice, Czech Republic, and would like to find out if this other Brosch family was related. Carol Rogers
