didn't go to Kutna Hora this time. Went to Karlstejn Castle instead. Very interesting. I am being to want to venture out of Prague and see the rest of the CR. I wish I had the nerve to rent a car. My cousin couldn't make it but I met Jakub and also Anna, from Cerniny, who lives across the street from where one of my relatives lived. It was a nice trip.......discovered some new places and shortcuts through Prague I have new info re: why my Mom can't understand Czech as we are learning it. Her cousin said, ".Yes, we did talk Bohemian...it was a low Czech. In Jan Hus (church) they spoke the higher Czech...and most of the time I did not understand it." Perhaps the dialect is so severe that that is why my Mom can't understand. (Or, she has just plain forgotten everything. judi
