(A blotch of ink in the middle of the surname explains the poor transcription.) They were living on 2nd Avenue in 1910 and 1920. In 1910, Agnes was listed with 7 children, but only 6 living. I'm presuming you found Joseph's ship record by now, listed by his exact spelling on Ancestry.com, arriving 19 August 1893 as a 27 year old baker and heading for New York City. If you know their religion, you might look for a church in their area that attracted emigrants from the Bohemian community. Check as many records as you can find on all of the children for info as to towns parents were from. For one of mine, I finally found the town written on the Catholic church death record of the mother years later. If Catholic, perhaps the Archdioces! es for the Queens area might have tips on what church they might have attended when first settling in Queens on Franklin Street. Or, you could sign on with the Queens List and request info that way - I'm presuming there is one - or post a query on the Queens Board with all the info you've gathered thus far. You may get lucky and find someone researching the same family. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
