To Barb, There are quite a few Kristufeks in the IL death and marriage records easily accessible. St Joseph and St Procopius in Chicago have listed several Kristofeks. My connection is thru Adela (Ida Rose) Kristufek who married my Edward Holub and one of their children was born in 1902 in Chicago. Ida Rose was born in Chicago abt 1882 and died in Chicago in 1922. Parents of Ida Rose: John Kristufek born Bohemia Nov 1848, died Apr 1913 Chicago; wife, Mary born abt 1850 Bohemia died 1896. Have more info if you would like see it.
