    3. Hi List: I found the following information and need some help. I am researching the surnames; Paa & WILD. The older men were in the 7th Landwehr (militia national guard) in Eger and later were transferred to Rumburg. Individual soliders in Cavalry Regiment No. 2 in Dobrzan. During the First World War, 13 men were killed in action. They were: Josef Müller Nr. 11, Josef Gobernatz Nr. 32, Josef Paa Nr. 6, Michl Vogl Nr. 19, Johann Mages Nr. 22, Karl Paa Nr. 24, Adolf Meisinger Nr. 28, Franz Paa Nr. 32, Paul Mages Nr. 35, Josef Portner Nr. 35, Georg Kirsch Nr. 45, Josef Wild Nr. 45 and the schoolteacher, Georg Maurer, Nr. 34. Can anyone tell me anything about this information, Like which country it is talking about? What do the numbers mean? Any information about the people listed there? Any help is greatly appreciated.     3. Hello, Towns Eger (in Czech is called Cheb) and Rumburg (its Czech name is Rumburk) are situated in the Czech Republic, today. In both of the towns lived mostly German-speaking population, until 1945. I dont know about the origin and circumstences of the list mentioned by you, therefore is hard to say, whether the numbers means houses where the persons came from, or anything else.
