I realize it is TRANSCRIBED that way, but the image appears otherwise. You are looking for Agnes' married name of Reckholder, correct? The middle part of the surname was written over in the 1900 census, so whoever transcribed the record picked up the beginning and end of the name, leaving out the middle letters and misreading others. If you blow up the image to 150% or more, you can make out the letters more clearly. The second letter, "a" is a mispelling of "e", but there are two letters following that which have loops upward, but hard to read with the ink covering them. I believe one to be a "k" and one an "h". The "o" is covered up, then the "l" shows, then part of the "d" as the bottom partial circle of that letter is covered up. Finally the "er" completes the name, R-a-c-k-h-o-l-d-e-r. The reason I thought you might like the 1900 census is that is the only census that gives the month and year of birth. Besides, if you found Agnes married in that census, you would want to look for a mg. date prior to the enumeration date. Unfortunately, there is no date written on the top of that particular census sheet, so I'm not sure if the preprinted "June, 1900" is correct or not as many times the census taker writes in the day of the month. To follow up on this, I checked for any other Joseph Rendler in New York state census and found only one in 1930 who was not even close to you Joseph's age. The reason you do not find Agnes by her maiden name of Ralbovsky/Ralborsky is that she was newlywed married as reflected in the census for 1900 - married "0" years. A previous e-mail listed children born in 1902 in Queens. This Joseph and Agnes were also living in Queens in 1900 - Ward 4 on Franklin Avenue. So I'm again suggesting that you check out churches in that area for a possible marriage record and baptisms for the children as they might have lived at the same location for a few years after they were married.
