    2. Hi Gabriella, Here is the Web site for "Conscriptions for Prague, 1850-1914, if you don't already have it. Hope it helps someone find their ancestors. I have been trying to decipher some BREBURDA information on the lists. The information on Josef Breburda born 1820 has kindly already been translated for me but I need help with WENZEL BREBURDA born 1832, married to Katharina Wasak or Waschek. There are two sets of information for him. One gives his birth place as "Krusitichan," but I'm not certain of the spelling. Another says something like "Tossing," but I'm not certain of that name, either. This may be near Prague. If you can help with any of the translations I would surely appreciate it. _http://digi.nacr.cz/prihlasky/indexen.php?m=20_ (http://digi.nacr.cz/prihlasky/indexen.php?m=20) Thanks for any help but please take your time with it. Sincerely, Betty Catherwood ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

    3. Betty - to find the location of those towns, you can use Felix Gundacher's Gazateer which he allows you to use for free. I tried putting in "krus" and came up with Krusitschan. Then I searched for Bukovan and found several possibilities including one in the vicintiy of Krusitschan. Here is the site for Felix's Gazateer: http://www.ihff.at/indexstarte.php?src=IHFF_Gazetteer.htm I understand that Mr. Gundacher is a reliable researcher. As for finding the exact locations of these towns, you might be able to search on: http://www.mapy.cz/# Use the current name from Mr. Gunacher's site. Have fun!
