    3. Hello, Vital church registers in te Chech Republic are stored in Regional archives. Triesch is German name for Trest in Moravia. I suppose that church registers for Trest are stored in Zemsky Archiv at Brno - but only the catholic (or protestant) church registers. Jewish vital registers (for whole Czech Republic) are stored in National Archive at Prague (see its website: http://www.nacr.cz/eindex.htm ) All the best, Martin Pytr, CZ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barbara" <angel@tesco.net> To: <CZECH@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, January 17, 2008 1:05 PM Subject: [CZ] Angels in Moravia Hello. Please be kind to me, this is my first visit! Yesterday we discovered that my husband's great grandfather, his grandfather, and his brother came from Triesch, Moravia. I have spent years researching Vienna as it was thought they came from there, a Viennese researcher found them in Czechoslovakia. I don't know where to go from here. The researcher found the details in the Wedding Book of the Jewish Religious Community, Years 1826-57 Are there birth, marriage and death certificates in Moravia? Can I find out more about the great grandfather? Or the children? The details are- David Angel about 1800, Triesch, "tuchscherer" married to Theresia Grunberger His children were Max Angel, born 24th December 1824, Triesch, married Elisabeth Lunger in 1854 who was born in Vienna. They married in the Jewish Temple Stadt Nr 494 and they lived at Leopoldstadt Nr 538. Their children were Irene, 10th December 1854 Emma,11th May 1857 Friederike 22nd January 1860 Max died from tuberculosis 1860 in Leopoldstadt Nr 482 Leopold Angel, born May 1828, - my husband's grandfather, came to England 1854 and joined the German Legion of the British Army. (His army papers and census show him living in Vienna and nationality Austrian) He married and died here in the UK after becoming naturalised British. His children were Roman Catholic. Any help or guidance would be appreciated as this new finding is very difficult for me to understand Thank you, Barbara , UK -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users.
