    3. Does anyone know what the family tradition was for picking a religion for a family in Bohemian/Moravia? If a couple got married, the wife being Catholic and the husband being Protestant, which religion would the family follow? As in the USA, more times than not, the family follows the wife's religion. Is this the same in Czech.?

    3. Hello, It depends on the historical time. Protestant belief starts to be tolerated at Czech lands since 1781 by the Edict of Tolerance, issued by the Emperor Joseph II. For children from mixtured marriages were 2 possibilities: 1) to be educated in catholic religion 2) daughter followed religion of her mother, son followed religion of his father In 1848 and more in 1861 were non-catholic beliefs emancipated and it seems that children of mixtured marriages can follow the religion what they parents decided.
