    1. [CZ] town name
    2. Nicole Kenjura
    3. The passenger list for my ancestor lists his town of origin as Zalesch, Bohemia. The handwriting on the passenger list is very clear and easy to read, so I am sure that the spelling is Zalesch. I have been unable to locate this town. Other sources suggest that he and his family were from the Hradec Kralove region, specifically, Castolovice. They departed from Hamburg, could Zalesch be German for Castolovice or another nearby village? Nicole Kenjura
