    1. [CZ] Researching Matschl, Albrecht, Fiedler, Kurz, Hundsnurcher, Mottl
    2. My grandmother, Josefa Matschl, was born October 7, 1886 in Pleschen Bohemia (Czech Malonin). Malonin was destoyed by the Communist in the 1950's. It is near the village of Frauenthal, now Frantoly. I have traced my family back to the early 1700's by using a Czech researcher. Since my family was German, any family members who did not emmigrate were relocated to Germany after WWII. My grandmother emigrated from Bremen to Galveston, Texas in 1905. She settled in a small town, Moulton, Texas. Evidently Moulton was the destination of many Bohemian families. I am interested in exchanging information about the following villages and individuals. I have located these individuals in the archive and would like to know if others are related to these families. Alois Matschl born 30 Mar 1885, in Pleschen, probably relocated to Germany. Katerina ALBRECHT born 16 september 1845, born in Frauenthal (Frantoly) Maria FIDLER born About 1820 in Schlag (Lazistka) Elisabeth MOTTL born early 1800's in Zodl (Sadlno) Maria HUNDSNUSHER born abt 1740's in Pleschen (Malonin) Barbara KURZ born early 1800's in Frauenthal (Frantoly) I am also interested in information about these small villages. When were they founded, by whom, how many people, etc. I am trying to locate information about Alois Matschl, (my grandmother's brother) when married, names of children etc. This was not in the archives since it is less than 100 years old. I know this is a lot of information. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Mary Scott **************Planning your summer road trip? Check out AOL Travel Guides. 3. Hi Edith -- it's me - your cousin through marriage - Susan. Your e-mail to me spurred me to research again -- not having any luck though. I think I am going to go back through all of the info you sent and I found and see if I missed anything ... or just get a different idea. I've been checking the census records and the family gives different years for immigration ... starting 1862 - others say 1864 or 1865. But I'm not going to give up -- maybe someone else will come up something. In the meantime, I'm still plugging away. 3. Maddie, there are about 40 localities with the name Sedlec in Bohemia. Jiri Mlejnek I've found some info on my family, before they came to the US. My great-grandfather was born in Sedlec in 1849. His name was Frantisek Palensky. His parents were Jan P. born in 1827 and Anna Rzezanina born in 1823. He immigrated to the US in 1873 with someone named Bette. We don't know who she was or where she went. He had two other brothers, Jakub and Karel, who also emigrated. I would like to find death dates for his parents. And would also like to know what happened to his brother Joseph (b. 1851), and sisters Anna (b. b. 1859) and Veronika (b. 1854). His parents were George and Katarina. My Kristofek family arrived in New York on June 8, 1888. They bought a farm in Westmoreland County, PA where they raised a total of 6 children. - My great grandfather, George moved his young family to Chicago about 1905, - John stayed on the farm, married Annie Swets and raised 12 children, - Joseph must have died as a young child as I find only 1 reference, - Mary married Joseph (Wassily) Shaffern and had 7 children. After Joseph died in the 1920s, she moved her family to Chicago, - Anna married Frank Kolish and had 5 children. After Frank died in 1925, she moved her family to Cleveland, and - Zophia (Sophie) married Walter Konjura and had 7 children. They all moved to Cleveland in the 1920s.
