Looking for records on Confederate prisoners, both military and civilian, who were imprisoned and/or died at Camp Chase, Ohio. I'm trying to find 2nd Lt. A(ndrew) J(ackson) Lacy, Co. C, 8th Tennessee Cavalry, who may be listed as a civilian because he resigned his commission immediately before disappearing (and probably being captured in or near Jackson County, Tennessee in August 1863). Another member of his company, John Franklin Clinton, was captured at the same time, near Gainesboro, Tennessee, and taken first to Camp Chase for several months before being moved to Rock Island, Illinois.
