I believe they were mustered out to Ft Donelson, which was captured early in the Civil War and taken to Crown Point IN. I have heard his name is on a monument there as having died at the camp. But this is incorrect, if indeed this is the same person, which details seem to indicate. He returned to Pike Co AR and raised a family. He was my gggrandfather.
