    3. I have a list titled, "Register of Confederate Dead, Rock Island, Illinois" compiled in the Office of the Commissioner for Marking Graves of Confederate Dead, courtesy of: The Rock Island Arsenal Museum, Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL 61299-5000, phone (309)782-5021. The information contained in the list is: name of soldier, rank, company, regiment, date of death, no. of grave plot. Aanyone with a Civil War ancestor who lived in Tennessee after the war should request a copy of the 1914-1915 questionnaires that were distributed as a project of the Tennessee Historical Committee. These covered Confederate and Union Civil War veterans. It was a lengthy questionnaire containing informatioin about the veteran's war experiences, military organizations and comrades, and personal and family data. There are 1,466 Confederate and 115 Union soldiers' questionnaires on file. A copy can be obtained from the Tennessee State Library and Archives, 403 Seventh Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37219. -----Original Message----- From: CW-POW-D-request@rootsweb.com <CW-POW-D-request@rootsweb.com> To: CW-POW-D@rootsweb.com <CW-POW-D@rootsweb.com> Date: Tuesday, December 29, 1998 12:05 PM Subject: CW-POW-D Digest V98 #30
