This is one of those interesting stories that are on the fringe of the POW issue...it involves an Oscar LaGrange, who had been captured by the Confederates, but nursed to health by a Confederate Senator's niece, a group of women at the town of LaGrange, GA, who had formed themselves into a militia group, and a group of soldiers who were taken prisoner, but released by LaGrange on news of Lee's surrender.
