Pvt George Peter Dreisbach; Co H 67th PA Vols USA; captured June 15, 1863 at Winchester and confined at Richmond; paroled July 19, 1863 at City Point VA and sent to Camp Parole MD until September 1863; reenlisted February 1864 as a Veteran Volunteer ($60 bounty!); captured June 20, 1864 during a skirmish at White House Landing; sent to Andersonville where he died of scorbutus November 1. Grave #11754 (with name spelled Driesbach) at Andersonville National Cemetery. Name on some records may be Trespan or Drespan. George Peter had a brother, Thomas, who deserted Co H 67th PA within a few days of joining and eventually moved to Ohio.
