My g-g-grandfather, Nicholas Faulkner Atkinson, fought in the 18th Georgia Infantry. He was wounded and captured at Gettysburg. Before being exchanged, he appeared on a list of prisoners at DeCamp General Hospital, David's Island, NY. Does anyone know anything about this place?
