Direct ancestor Lott Porter Massey, Falcon Guards from Columbia Co. Ark. Co. E. 11th Ark. Inf. captured at Island No. Ten. taken to Camp Douglas where he died Sept. 2, 1862. He had a brother John who was also died in Camp Douglas July 14, 1862. A number of relatives who were in the same regiement served time at Douglas including William A. Altom and William Andrew Jackson Cooper. Elihu Altom also died there on July 3, 1862. Martey Massey at Marteyma@aol.com
