It takes a subscription to access their database, but it's only $25.00 a year. I have used it many times and found it most helpful. In fact I've found 3 of my ancestors. I found your ancestor. It has his enlistment date. Some of the regiments have a regimental history, but his doesn't. Hope this helps. Cav. was indeed one of Gen. John Hunt Morgan's units. The regiment was captured nearly entirely at the end of Morgan's Ohio Raid in July 1863, and never reconstituted. Most of the men went into prison at Camps Douglas and Morton. I know of no web sites such as you asked about ... it would great if there were. The best reference I have seen on Camp Douglas is George Levy's book "To Die in Chicago" (Evanston, 1994). Arthur Terrill was a Pvt. in Co. G, 5th Ky. Cav., but I don't have any more info on him (source: "Report of the Adjutant General of the State of Kentucky, Confederate Kentucky Volunteers, War 1861-65" (Frankfort, 2 vols., 1915, 1918).
