William MCMAHON and his brother John Henry were in the 12th Texas Confederate Infantry Regiment also known as the 8th Infantry and YOUNG'S Regiment. They were inducted at Camp Henry in Grimes Co. TX. Both were in prison and both injured. They were paroled in July 1865 at Millican TX. I would like to find out the name of the prison. William was my Great Grandfather. I feel fortunate that my aunt and her cousin remember him and are able to tell me what he was like. Somewhere, someone in the family has his shirt with bullet hole. Another family member remembers her aunt talking about Uncle Billy coming home from the war in rags. There is a picture of him with five of his sons at: http://www.geocities.com/~stevemcmahon/ This site is The Daniel and Priscilla EAST MCMAHON page.
