Circa 1912 a Mrs. Archer (nee Mary Hadfield) Cutts from Stretton, Derbyshire, emigrated to New Zealand after the death of her husband. She was his second wife m.1871q3 Chesterfield. Four of her sons also went to New Zealand and were farmers out there. It may be that the A.Cutts who emigrated in 1899 came from this family.
