Tonight I have received a message to say that there is Cutts/Cutt Family genealogy book on eBay - item # 2933867550 which can be located at http://pages.ebay.com/search/items/search_item.html I've had a look at the site and it has this description about the book - Genealogy of the Cutts Family in America. by Cecil Hampden Cutts Howard. Albany (NY): Joel Munsell's Sons, 1892. Thick octavo (7 x 9), 658 pages. This extended genealogy covers the following four Cutts: 1. John Cutt, who in 1657 is first mentioned as a selectmen in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. 2. A brother of John, Robert Cutt, going first to the Barbadoes, in the West Indies, and afterward to Portsmouth, NH (living at Great Island, now New Castle). He removed from there to Kittery, Maine. 3. Another brother of John, Richard Cutt, was first a resident at the Isle of Shoals, and removed to Portsmouth. 4. Ann Cutt, a sister, was married to John Shipway, a merchant of Portsmouth. The earliest records of the family give the name as Cutt, and it was not universally known as Cutts until 1745, nearly a hundred years after they first arrived. This family is exhaustively detailed in register format in over 600 pages.
