Hi All I've been working to identify the parents / ancestors of Joseph Cutts d.~1832 in Houston Co. GA. Joseph is the father of Mary Cutts, Elijah Cutts, Elisha Cutts, William Paul Cutts Sr (also in trees as William Porter Cutts), Nancy Cutts, Elizabeth Cutts, Matilda Cutts, Milbry Cutts, Phoebe Cutts and Sarah Cutts. Autosomal DNA (atDNA) testing and land records are showing a close relationship to Sharrod/Sherod and Major Cutts families. atDNA is pointing back to William and Paul Cutts of North Carolina Looking for patrilineal Cutts descendants of Sharrod and Major Cutts to Y-DNA test. Also, want to make everyone aware of the Cutts DNA project at Family Tree DNA. Here is a link to the websit: https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/cutts-dna/about The project currently is a Y-DNA only project but I will be converting it to a combined autosomal DNA / Y-DNA / Mt DNA project. If you have tested at ancestryDNA or 23andMe, you can transfer your DNA to FTDNA for $19. Also encourage all Cutts DNA testers to transfer to GEDMatch (free). I think the widow of Paul Cutts (Lucretia) loved to Georgia to live with other Cutts relatives. Does anyone see her in their records.
