I have not investigated them, but most programs allow you to import a "GEDCOM" into them, which you have pretty good control over. When you investigate a program, you may wish to do a trial run or chat with some of its users. Personally, I will not be changing, nor upgrading. I am quite content with what I have. Hi Mary Ellen, Are you using FTM? I'm still using Version 11. Do I here groans out there? It's very simple, does what I need. My husband used 12, I think, and I found that very confusing. The biggest problem, I couldn't see all the information I wanted on one page, you had to click back and forth. At my age and the place where I am in rootin', I really don't think I have a need for bigger and better. :-) One of my daughters works for Micro Soft and she has listened to my moans and groans for some time now, about all the changes. Just no consideration for the Seniors - ha. Anxious to hear your thoughts.
