I am in touch with several of the Cutts researchers who are struggling over this branch of the family. First of all it is confused by the fact that there are two William and Hannah Cutts. (1) William Cutts m. Hannah Wilmott 17.10.1802 Hucknall Torkard. (2) William Cutts m. Hannah Spray 21.4.1810 Hucknall Torkard. If anyone with any definite proof of children from either of these marriages please let me know as this will help clarification. It is very unclear from the 1841 census how to definte these two families. There are two Hannah Cutts burials prior to 1841 Hannah Cutts age 41 died August 1831 and Hannah Cutts age 59 died December 1839. Can anyone positively attach either Hannah to the correct William? There is further confusion in that Hannah Cutts bapt 3.5.1815, parents William and Hannah (believed to be Wilmott) had nine children - all illegitimate. Yet she was obviously not a pauper from photographs of her and her family in the possession of a descendant so would seem to have had the support of a partner. Joseph Savage was a boarder with Hannah Cutts and admitted parentage of at least three of her children in 1847. PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP?
