    3. Richard Cutts, the immigrant to New England, born Devonshire, m. 1st. Elizabeth Aldersley ca 1650 (date of birth of 1st child at Strawberry Bank (Portsmouth, NH)); m. 2d Elenore (???) (she was his adminx 1675.) He owned almost all of what is the center part of Portsmouth today. If he married in 1620, he produced no recorded children. At least they did not accompany him. He came as an apprentice of Michael Wright, a merchant. Mother Bridget and brother Baker were his bondsman for the 10 year apprenticeship. Was there another immigrant Richard Cutts? The only one I could find was Christening, March 20/26 1797 Elizabeth, dau. of Wm. and Elizabeth Cutts. Anyone know which William and Elizabeth? Looking then for a Marriage I could find no Cutts Marriage before June 1797 which would have given the parents.... Mavis.

His father was Thomas Cutts 1736-1821 and his father was Richard Cutts 1693-1790. This Richard had a brother named Thomas Cutts (1700-1795). It is from this line that my branch of the tree goes. I believe the father of Richard and Thomas was Richard Cutts (died 1743) and his wife was Joanna. > > >From Thomas Cutts (1700-1795) came Joseph Cutts (1736-1808) then Thomas Cutts (1770-1857) then Edward Cutts (1798-1875) Thomas Cutts (1830-1896) then Gilbert Cutts (1869-1958) Samuel Cutts (1894-1959) and my father Donald E. Cutts (1930- ). > > All I have is these dates, some wives names, no birth places, children or siblings listed. > > Any info to help me fill in would be great. > > Thanks > > Anna M.
