Wise was the father of my great grandfather Jasper Josiah Wise of burke county NC. JJ wise is buried with his wife saphronia at Oak Grove Baptist church in the LInville township of Burke County on the northwest side of Lake James. William Cuthbertson wise is buried at an old abandoned church cemetery. I was told the church name was Obeth Baptist.. there was an Obeth Methodist near by. These were in a community that was abandoned when Lake James was built in the early 1900s. Sorry, I don't have info on Catherine Chandler.
