His family originated in Tynemouth, Northumberland but tradition has it they were originally from Scotland. My great-grandfather, David Stanley Cuthbertson, emigrated to Canada with his wife, Daisy, and my grandfather, David Peters Cuthbertson, who was only two years old. I have done a fair amount of research on ancestry.com but have reached a block to the family since I cannot find my Cuthbertson line past my 3x great grandfather in Northumberland. There are many Cuthbertsons there as well as in London area where my 3x great grandfather moved his family in the early 1800's. I have found many of the children in past generations carrying middle names that are last names: Peters, Cook, Cooper, Arkley. I am sure they all have connections to me but these are also names that are found in abundance in! northern England. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
