I found another birth of a child for James STRACHAN and Janet SCOTT. This appears to be their first child. Ann Strachan, b. 6 June 1851 and another registration of this birth dated 6 June 1852, in Abbey, Paisley, Renfrew. Apparently the first two children were born before their marriage. No record of a daughter named Mary has been found as the child of this couple. Mary Strachan, dau. of James STRACHAN & Janet CUTHBERTSON, who lived in Cardross Parish, Renton was not the person who m. James MEIKLEHAM. In a message dated 10/23/2010 2:29:01 P.M.
