However in the last few months I have been in touch with a couple of ladies [who are first cousins to each other] who are firmly of the view that William married a Margaret Orr on 7 July 1820 at Carmunnock, Lanark, Scotland & that they had 8 children between 1823 & 1839 & have an entry in the 1841 Scottish census. The ladies concerned have trees posted on Ancestry [which has now been privatised] & www.tribalpages.com. A search on the latter will soon find it. I first raised my concerns about this back in a posting to the Cuthbertson messageboard on 6 January 2010 when it appeared that some descendants of James & Euphemia Turner were incorporating the Margaret Orr marriage into their database. My view is that the William Cuthbertson who married Margaret Orr is NOT the son of James & Euphemia Turner. Can I please ask all the James & Euphemia Turner researchers that if you have the William Cutherbertson/Margaret Orr marriage in your tree that you are comfortable with the logic. If you are please let me know. Thanks David Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
