Dear CUTBIRTH Cousins, I am happy to announce the birth of my new CALLOWAY/WILLCOCKSON website, the "Descendants of Elijah WILLCOCKSON and Charlotte CALLOWAY." Charlotte's mother was Mary CUTBIRTH, daughter of Benjamin CUTBIRTH. Elijah was the grandson of John WILLCOCKSON and Sarah BOONE; Charlotte CALLOWAY, Elijah's cousin, was their great-granddaughter. A special website for John and Sarah will be launched and linked to this one in the near future; it will include information about Benjamin CUTBIRTH's family. Charlotte's father Elijah CALLOWAY served as a member of the North Carolina Legislature for thirteen years. The book King's Mountain and Its Heroes documents the heroic resistance of Charlotte's mother Mary CUTBIRTH, then a young girl, and of the whole CUTBIRTH family when British officers abusively invaded their home during the War of the Revolution. Mary's father Benjamin CUTBIRTH, a close friend and fellow long-hunter of Daniel Boone, was the first pioneer to reach the Mississippi River from the East. I have posted about 40 pages so far, on the first 4 generations of this WILLCOCKSON/CALLOWAY family of ours. Included are 220 descendants in these first 4 generations, with links to dozens more in later generations. I input data from Spraker's Boone book, from Wulfeck's Wilcoxson book, and from contributions by several cousins. You can find this new homepage at: http://www.stipak.com/willcockson/elijah/ElijahWillcockson.htm Please note that there is an index page, a sources page, and a surname page, all linked to the homepage. I am linking to the Boone Society, Scroggins Papers, and other important websites. The website is not finished; it will be ongoing and growing. I will be correcting, linking, adding, updating it, etc. If you are interested in the CALLOWAY/WILLCOCKSON branches of our CUTBIRTH family, then please take a look and tell me what you think. I hope that the Boone Society and other family researchers will link to this new website, so that we cousins can find each other and share information. If you see anything incorrect or get any "Not Found" error messages, please let me know. Many thanks to those of you who have already been a part of this labor of love. Enjoy! Cousin Alice their great-great-great-great granddaughter, Alice Imig Stipak granddaughter of Martha Viola Wallick's daughter Alice (Hageman) Imig

Hi Cousin Gladys! I am also a descendant of Benjamin Cutbirth and Elizabeth Wilcoxson. My line is through their daughter Mary Cutbirth who married Elijah Callaway. They had a daughter Charlotte Callaway who married her cousin Elijah Wilcoxson. Their daughter Zerilda Wilcoxson married Moses C. Johnson in Fulton Co., Illinois on 17 Mar 1831; they were my 3 GGs. I don't know who Benjamin Cutbirth's parents were yet, but I am looking for them! I would like to collect as much data as possible on his and Elizabeth's descendants, so anything you and others have to share would be appreciated. I have quite a bit of info on our Wilcoxson and Boone ancestry, and a lot of colorful stories about the longhunter Benjamin Cutbirth.
